First Al Queda, then ISIS... now Zika!

Just read a facebook post from a homeopath seeing it as a conspiracy to get poor women vaccinated. Hard to believe how stupid some people can be.

I think we can expect a surge in requests for terminations.

    No terminations allowed in Brazil.

A surprising number of countries in Latin America still don't allow abortion even under the worst circumstances. I wonder if this will change anything?

The church aren't keen on contraception either - I read that El Salvador were looking to "ban" pregnancy - good luck with that!

A change in attitude to abortion would be a valuable outcome but I can't see it happening soon.

This morning the 'lesser evil' of contraception was being recommended, I missed who was speaking I think it was a doctor rather than a priest.

Nature is doing its best to lower the population of the planet isn't it!

Malaria is much better at that than Zika in that it actually kills. Zika isn't even as bad as Dengue.

The birth rate is lowering due to development and education, this will hopefully eventually result in a decrease in population

It was a priest - Radio 4 - who, as far as I can recall, was recommending abstinence rather than 'the greater evil' of abortion.
