OKies Cookery peeps......................we need more threads. This Forum lives by what everyone has for dinner so let's liven it up a bit. I know it's been done before, but it's fun so let's list 6 guests for 2 fantasy dinner parties. I was inspired by my GBBO thread.
The first list is people alive today. Anyone you like.
The second list is people who have passed away, from any time on earth.
    So here's mine:

    Alive:
    Sandi Toksvig
    Paul O'Grady
Craig Revel Horwood .......................yes, I know, all a bit G.A.Y so far
    Mary Berry
    Boris Johnson
    Sir David Attenborough

    Dead:
    My Mum
    My Dad
    George Michael
    Charles Darwin
    Maggie Thatcher
    Eric Morecombe

I'd have a huge list of questions for both sets of guests........................so Long we'f probably not have time to eat much.

So, who would come to your dinner parties?

I'd be buying in a chef. With that fabulous company I wont be faffing about with the food.

I'm going to have to get back to you on the still alive guests. Tricky. Richard Attenborough would be there though. I think Michael Rosen as well.

Dead is easy! It would simply be the three of my grandparents that are no longer with us and all six of Mrs909's who are no longer around either. My one living nan (who's a fantastic ninety-eight) would also be invited, obviously.

I was very close to Mrs909's maternal grandparents and got on very well with her paternal ones as well. I never met my mum's dad as he passed a couple of months before I was born, so I'd love to meet the man I've heard so many stories about. And my dad's father was a chef in the Merchant Navy and cooked incredible, restaurant quality food when we visited them and when they came to us. He has always been a huge influence in my love of good, so I'd love to return the favour and cook for him!

    That's lovely @nick909.
I'd have to add an extra chair now on my dead list so I can meet my paternal grandfather who died before I was born.

I'm struggling too. So far alive I've got:

    Dave Vanian
    Nick Cave
    George Clinton

    Dead:
    My dad
    HH Munro

I only knew my dad as a fairly small child so I'd love to speak to him as an adult. He was a restaurateur and foodie - I have a recording of a radio interview of him describing his favourite meal.

Oh heck, well of course I would really want family and friends, some of whom are the very best company.
