I have just deleted a thread where a poster used what seemed to be her own name and photo, and gave away too many details about what she was doing. This could have identified her, the school, and potentially a pupil too.

You should remain anonymous at all times.

You should take especial care not to mention by name or too many details any school or teacher. Or pupil or parent!

Teachers have had serious problems when their posts on social media - not just TES - have been read by managers in school. Or by parents. Be cautious.

If you realise now that you have got your own name here as your username, you can e-mail

TES.Community@tesglobal.com and help@tesglobal.com (to see who answers first)

and ask them to change it. You will need to tell them which new username you would like. Check that it's not already in use by starting a new Conversation and starting to type the name in the To box.

    Best wishes
