Better late than never! I found this post when looking for the chords to the song. As I could not find them anywhere else on the www, I've had to work it out myself. I think I have it but please feel free to improve!
The video can be found on utube at
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YS4ALgm6Rsc which is in the key of D so you can play along to the video.

Oh Dear! I'm not sure what happened here. The layout of my post was shown to be right when I previewed it. I seem to have lost the return characters. I will have another go so here's hoping! This may take some time and a few postings. An editing facility would be so nice!!!

Hoo-ray! But it took a bit of doing. I used the copy as plain text button here, but lost all of the spaces which I put back in manually.
    Rock on!

  8. Beginning to look like a one-poster thread, here, TC, but well done for persevering! [IMG]
(Enjoyed the reminder of Feargal Sharkey, too!)

Hi jazz2. I had not seen the video on utube before and it really grabbed me as a visual extraveganzer. I went looking for the lyrics and chords but was surprised that nobody seems to have tabbed it. Found the lyrics ok though. The strong brass made it a bit difficult for me to hear the chords to strum on the guitar, but I think I've got it - at least with just simple chords.
A very good display of love turned sour. Maybe not the sort of thing one could use in class unless it was a PSE type of lesson! LOL!
It appears that the song was written by Benmont Tench who is the keyboard player in Tom Petty's band, in responce to his ex partner, Maria McKee, writing "A good Heart" which was about the breakup of their relationship. So Fergal has recorded songs from both sides of a relationship that sadly disintegrated!
After finding the utube video, I had a trawl through Fergal's work and looking back, he has produced excellent stuff. He showed an ear for excellent songs and put in high energy performances.
    Cheers
