Grooming gangs aren't just raping young people, they are grooming them and using them to recruit other young people and children.
The "grooming" aspect is central to their operation. These gangs farm children out to each other over wide geographical areas.

Raping young people and children isn't the full story with these gangs. This isn't just opportune rape, it is the systematic organised use and traffic of young people and children by established networks of adults assisted by young people and children they have groomed into their network to procure other young people and children to gang rape and abuse.

I'm not disputing that... it's the use of the word "grooming" to describe it I have an issue with. It both traduces the word "grooming" while, to me, sanitises the narrative.

If you read your own link, you wouldn't have needed to post the thread.

But then you wouldn't be able to have another go at muslims.

Grooming, as in all species, is a form of bonding. Animals groom each other to show their desire to connect and maintain a bond.

Likewise, grooming as in the exploitation of minors, is a method by which the adult gains the trust of the younger person: this until they horrifically abuse them.

The rape and abuse of young people and children is beyond comprehension and deeply wounding. A part of this process and an ongoing cause of distress and confusion is the fact that a bond has been formed. The young person or child believes this bond to be genuine while the abuser knows it to be merely a method by which to gain their trust.

So often the person who has been abused is traumatised as much by the breaking of trust as the physical assault.

This is what then causes the years of distress and confusion and often a self-hatred due to being unable to comprehend what has happened to them.

So, I would say the grooming element is crucial in the playing out of the abuse.

There was nothing personal intended in what I wrote, so it's a shame you feel the need to resort to snideness and personal digs as a chosen response. Snippy.
If, as you indicate, you don't know what my post meant, there is always the option of asking "what do you mean by this?". Or the technological option of the "ignore" function.
