Year 9 Inspiration

Discussion in 'Science' started by danieloakes1, Jul 17, 2011.

  1. Having only 3 more lessons with my bottom set Year 9 I am completely devoid of inspiration of what I can teach them (end of NQT tiredness). We are not moving into the the BTEC course until September so we can't start this. Any inspiration would be welcome on something that'll keep these guys occupied for 3 more lessons. I thinking something ecology based to get us out of the classroom into the sun. Any ideas would be fantastic!
    Thanks,
    Daniel

Some "how science works" stuff would be helpful for Y10. So, linking it with ecology you could take out the pooters and quadrats and collect some organisms etc. Perhaps look at where the most diverse area was or number of one type of species in each area.
