  4. I have done a great GIGER project encompassing surrealism and mechanical forms - lads love to draw bits of machines - but if they are weak ability then make a mechanical hand from clay. Roll out a clay slab, kids draw round and cut round their hard, Bend the fingers and hand over scrunched up ball of newspaper, Then use tools and bits of machines to help them impress and construct mechanical forms to apply to their hand. Use drill bits, textured buttons to impress. Show them how to use coils to make wires etc.... use spanners etc to draw round and cut out of clay - they love it,. When fired use 'pewter' glaze from specialist crafts to give it a metallic mirror dipped chrome finish.

Also done a 'communication project involving kids life on facebook and mobile phones - kids use their phones as a camera and a resource. If interested let me know and I will email you all resources and exemplar.
