Year 9 1960s unit

Discussion in 'History' started by Aledwg, Jan 3, 2013.

  1. I'm trying to put together an unit on the 1960s for my year 9 history class. Does anyone know of good resources, or has anyone done a similar unit and have any resources I could "lend" ? :)
  2. You could check out the AQA a-level spec for Unit 2, HIS2R which is Britain in the 1960s and just simplfy it for your Year 9s.

It depends on what you want to focus on. If it is social history then that would be perfect, there is also some political history thrown in. If you want to just focus on politics then it might be more difficult.

I seem to recall that Edexcel also do a 1960s Britain unit for the coursework so there might be material floating around about that.
