    Hi all,

Our topic this term is food for thought and covers packaging, renewable energy, plant growth, recycling etc..

Struggling for literacy ideas as would like to base around a book. Aside from Roald Dahl does anyone have
    any ideas?

    Many thanks.

There are tons of picture books - which wouldn't be enough to base Literacy round, but could be used for some lessons:
    The Lorax - Seuss
The Whale's Song - Dyan Sheldon and Gary Blythe
The World that Jack built - Ruth Brown
Where the Forest meets the sea - Jeannie Baker
    Dear Greenpeace - Simon James
One Plastic Bag - Isatou Cessay

You could do a dsytopia novel
Malorie Blackman - Thief - time slips and a not so nice future - set off discussion regarding what the world will be like in the future

Non-fiction would be easier with this topic
    Biography - Jane Goodall
