    Hi,

I have been thrown in the deep end a little and have a low ability year 5 maths class. Can anyone please recommend good online programmes/websites/games to help with their learning.

    Thanks in advance

    James

'low ability' is a term from the past...thought we'd moved on from categorising children in this way.

Thanks for your help. ***. How would you like me to term it now? My group are exceptionally talented pupils but struggle with the basic concepts of maths. Please let me know the term you'd personally like me to use. Caterpillar to butterfly. Let me guess your a parent and amateur children's guru??

Sometimes the term 'low attaining' is used instead.

Re your question - One of their major blocks may be memory and moving on too fast.

I've lots of tips - pm me.
