    Hello everyone!

Im teaching weight to my year 4 class this week! I was wondering what others have done to kick off this topic? I was thinking to start it off with a practical and estimating which items are heavier than others, aiding the misconception that larger items are heavier.

    Thanks,

    Sounds good.

Definitely needed. Lots of misconceptions in length, weight and capacity!

Remember that weight is a force (measured in Newtons). Mass is not the same as weight... really too many misconceptions to even begin!

Is it worth showing a video of bunny hopping on the moon? Why can he bounce like that? His weight is less on the moon... something like that?

Why on Earth is this in Year 4?? Far too complex!
