Year 3 tricky words

    I am currently new to teaching and this stage. However I have made up loads of resources for tricky words..powerpoint and homework activiites...however how could i make teaching spelling and tricky words more fun rather than just go over the words on the board, get them to spell it with their magic pencil, make a sentence for each to make the teaching and learning of this better. Any ideas would be very much appreciated :)
     
  2. I could send you many picture posters of sight words with mnemonics, words within words, silly sentences from initial letters [of the big elephants type for because]. Children can then make up their own after seeing examples of the different methods. Some of the posters were ideas from children
