    Hi TES Community,

I have an interview in a couple of weeks and wanted to know if any teachers had used short stories to create discussion/ debate in Year 3?
The interview lesson is 30 minutes so I need some very short stories. Currently I have: 'I want my hat back' and Stuck.

    Thanks :)

You could read a poem instead and explore ideas from those.
My year 3s love lots of the ones in 'The Day I fell Down the Toilet' and 'How to Survive School'.

Otherwise 'Night Monkey - Day Monkey' is good to then discuss how we perceive things differently and could lead on to similar type writing.
