Year 2 Pirate Topic

    I've just started a pirate topic as we have a theatre group coming next week to perform The Night Pirates.

    Maths - cordinates - directions -
    Pirate word problems
    Place value - sacks hold either 100s 10s or 1s
    English
    Character description
    Letter (in a bottle)
    Diary (marooned pirate)

    Msz - do you have the name of the company coming to do the show?

    We are just about to start our pirate topic.
    Literacy - stories with fantasy settings. After school trip to the submarine musuem in Portsmouth - recounts,
    Treasure maps, letters in a bottle, making a pirate ship, pirate day, famous pirates in history, co-ordinates, floating and sinking, tropical islands/ contrasting locations
