My class accessed CP during each lesson when my TA and I were doing adult-directed groups. We also had an hour of Busy Bee each afternoon for the children to access CP during the afternoons. That was then gradually phased out after half term.

Silly question probably, but how is CP different from 'choosing'?

Well, I guess it's not much different. But with CP I would expect them to be choosing their own learning and I'd set out challenges for them to complete in the different areas of my classroom set up. This would include an outside role play area, water, sand, construction, writing area, reading area, art and crafts, laptops, motor skills, maths and phonics. I wouldn't put it all out at once, but choose a few for the children to go around.
