    Hi,

First post on here so I hope this is the right place...

Basically I have been offered a teaching interview for a Year 1 job (full-time teacher) and it's my first teaching interview and I'm pretty stuck on what to plan for my observation...

The only information that the school has provided me with is that I will be teaching 30 children a literacy lesson (mixed ability) and the topic of the lesson is 'Bringing a book to life'.

I have a HLTA available for the 30 minute session as well.

Any ideas of what I could possibly do would be greatly appreciated!

I always suggest going with something you are confident with and adapting a lesson you know has worked in the past.

Think about bringing to life- what does that mean? Possible activities could be dress up or pictures of characters . Reading a section and then getting the children involved in retelling the story.... acting out an event or incident.
