  1. Hi

I'm a trainee teacher and my final placement is in a year 1 class.
Could anybody recommend some good books which I could read to the childen at the end of the day. So far I have got What the ladybird heard, The Gruffalo, The smartest giant in town, Little rabbit foo foo, Bumpus Jumpus Dinosaurumpus, Room on the Broom, The snail and the whale and the story of the Little Mole who knew it was none of his business. I've read most of these books to them already so would like to add to the collection.

My class love Tiddler, Magic Paintbrush (both Julia Donaldson), Giraffes can't dance, Aliens love Underpants, Sharing a Shell, Beaver and the Echo really they love all short stories especially if they rhyme or have a repeating bit they can join in with. I've also read a variety of books such as Esio Trot where I have just read a small part each day.
