Please can I remind everyone that the Tes Community is a forum for education professionals. People expect to post on a friendly, safe and welcoming platform. The forums should not be used to ridicule or alienate people for their size, gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity etc. This type of behaviour is inappropriate and unacceptable.

It is for these reasons that this thread will be locked.

Please can everyone remember the following:

The Tes Community is where anyone interested in education can come to debate and share advice, find others that share their interests and let off steam. We understand that some of the debates can get heated, but we expect our members to treat others with courtesy and respect.

    Code of conduct:

    Respect others

    • The Tes Community has thousands of members who may not agree with your opinions or share your beliefs, but please be polite and respectful when communicating with other members.
    • Do not use the Tes Community forums to threaten, harass, bully, stalk or abuse anyone. We do not tolerate personal attacks.

    Forum netiquette:
    • If you post a message with the sole purpose of winding others up, this is called flaming. If you are flamed and you attack back, you will spark a flame war.
    • Remember other users are human beings with feelings and emotions so think before you type.

The house rules are there to maintain the spirit and tone of the Community. If any user fails to adhere to the house rules by making serious breaches or repeatedly flouting any of the other guidelines, terms and conditions, code of conduct and forum netiquette this will be considered a deliberate attempt to disrupt and destabilise the Community and as a result their posting privileges will be reviewed.

    Moderation policy

We reserve the right to remove content, lock threads, ban members or moderate user posts in our moderated forums at our discretion - we won't enter into debates regarding any sanction.
