    Dear Theo

I am at a crossroads, I have an NNEB, a Montessori Diploma, a Montessori English Language Teaching Diploma, and now a 2:1 BAHons in Early Childhood Education. I have been working overseas for the last 7 years, as a Nursery teacher, Reception class teacher and most recently a Nursery Manager. We are now planning to return to the UK next year and I would love to work in Reception but without a PGCE and QTS I wouldn't be qualified for the State sector? Would I be accepted in the Private sector or should I take yet more time out to gain a PGCE?? Decisions, decisions!! Any advice is gratefully received!

The independent sector often prefers but does not insist on, QTS. Maintained sector does insist on it.
If you can write a persuasive enough application, highlighting your experience and other skills and qualifications, you should be employable in the independent sector.
