Working in Dubai as an NQT

Discussion in 'Trainee and student teachers' started by LibbyBliss, Dec 27, 2011.

  1. HI James,
I am currently doing the GTP and am wanting to work in Dubai if possible. I wanted to know whether or not this is possible or if I would need more experience. I also wanted to know if working in a school in Dubai would count towards the NQT year or not?

    Thanks Libby

Similar question was asked here before, here's a link to the response from James.

Also, double check which qualification the GTP is giving you and whether Dubai allows you to teach with it, some countries won't accept the PGCE if it is the Professional Graduate rather than Post Graduate qualification, many GTP providers only offer the Professional Graduate option of the PGCE, but that might be a regional thing - I know this is the case for all of my local GTP providers.
    Good luck!
