Its been a while since I last ventured on TES and was sad to see that Jobseekers had over 370 new posts in comparison to only 125 on Personal.
I just wanted to wish you all the best in your continued job hunt and that you manage to enjoy summer whether in temporary work or not & hopefully with a renewed optimism for the next school year.

This is not sad, it means that loads of people are getting loads of support from their friends on here.
JobSeekers is one of the mosr popular and successful Forums. Since October (I didn't start looking at the stats before), we have been constantly in Top 5 for number of posts/threads, and in recent months have been 2nd, beaten only by those busy blighters on Primary.

But, yes, let's all have a great summer. I am typing in a sun-filled garden - where are you, everyone?
You should all post a photo of where you are, to see if people can guess . . .
    Here's mine:

Obviously not taken in summer, but I wanted to get the orchard in for you.
    Best wishes

  3. Have a good break littlemissraw.
I think it is good to see so many people asking for advice and misconceptons/ wrong advice being sorted.
Are you in the Sierra Nevada, Theo? Wherever, it looks lovely!

This totem pole is a landmark in the place where I am at the moment [IMG]
Best wishes to all for the summer - whatever you are doing.

    Rather vague but
    Valencia for Theo ?
Ought to be Canada for marlin ? But I guess it's somewhere in Berks?
As for me, it's a holiday at home, but then it's only 5 mins to the sea! 10 mins to a beach.
(Did try posting a piccie but it was so large wouldn't load!)

Nope! (but not a million miles away!) [IMG]
I'm thinking Theo must be in Spain - but can't narrow it down yet.
Fantastic! How lucky you are! [IMG]
  7. Theo, I am not talking to you on the basis of that picture!
Well, I might forgive you because next summer, I will FINALLY be in a position to go on my first holiday since my GCSEs, and largely down to your fantastic advice.
Littlemissraw- a lot of those posts are celebrating getting jobs, so not all doom and gloom!

Almost Spain - French Catalonia with the peach and nectarine orchards backed by the Pyrenees.

No idea where that totem pole is . . .

Any more photos folks? Even if not as exotic as these two!

    Best wishes

  9. I will be having a great summer holiday spending it with my children going on lots of day trips (probably eating out/shopping/going to lots of events) here;
with all the redevelopment this place is always changing (I kept some old favourite buildings in there otherwise no-one would recognise it!)
I will also be planning for my new full time job starting in September! Yay!!

It is a genuine Canadian totem pole - but it is in England.
    Here's a close-up of it - very fearsome!
  13. No idea where the totem pole is Marlin but I will be going here.

    It looks lovely palestpink! [IMG]
    Is it in Italy?
  15. Marlin - it's the Dordogne in France. It is lovely - a week of relaxation. Then we are going to Spain in September [IMG]

Still haven't got the totem pole. :(
Lara - show us your favourite spot!
PP - I guessed Dordogne - I love that area too, lived there in my gap year. Some time ago. :)
    Have you visited Marqueyssac?
    Just FABULOUS!

Here's an easier one - especially for Theo.
This statue is very near to a building I am going to be visiting tomorrow!
(Somewhere close to your heart Theo? [IMG])

Hmm - there's a totem pole in the World Garden at Lullingstone Castle - is it that one?
I am going here - it is home, but haven't lived here for twenty plus years. Theo likes the ice cream with clotted cream here and another poster commented on lack of jobs here (I think...)

    West Country then?
I guess Devon. That is still a large area of possibility though!
  20. Theo - yes I have been there but not for a while so may do that!
Smugglers - I know that place - is it Shaldon?
Marlin - I have no idea where your totem pole is!!!!! [IMG]
