You appear to think an NQT is on a par with swearing boys and chatty girls...not exactly supportive of the profession.

Wow you REALLY have been reading between the lines but you are are wrong.
YOU know I AM VERY supportive of all NQTs. I am a trained Mentor of some 15 years. Do as you normally do and please check through all my previous posts and you will not be disappointed... but you knew that anyway ;)

Sending you special Christmas Cheer and all my love for the excellent sensible objective advice and support you continue to offer on WPD

Not reading between the lines at all.
You are posting a satire of a headteacher sending you all kinds of horrid things at Christmas.
Within that list you posted NQTs, which is unacceptable to me and so I posted as such.

Fortunately I'm not an NQT at the end of a term where I've struggled and found my school to be less than great in terms of support. If I was, I'd be desperately upset by your post.

    I am happy.

My happiness doesn't affect the fact that what you've written is unkind.
Me being happy doesn't mean I have to think what you write is acceptable.

You forgot to be offended by the bit about the poor 50 plus teacher on capability.

Think you should give us the full 12 days curae. :)

I don’t take it that way... we can all have our opinions tho! I just took it as a bit of fun. All of the aforementioned are part of the profession. I love my NQTs, and my chatty TAs, I especially love my swearing boys as they’re always sorry! Just part of the job.
    Merry Christmas everyone. xx

Thank you for your support. Unfortunately some on here need to lighten up and show a little Christmas cheer maybe a sense of humour. It doesn't matter what I say some people are never satisfied and will take every opportunity to attempt to put me down by over reading into non existent situations despite the fact that they know I am 100% supportive. However I never allow anyone to get to me.
Merry Christmas to you all :)

My Christmas cheer and sense of humour doesn't extend to knocking other members of the profession.
The head teacher in this poem is sending all kinds of negative things, including a 50 plus teacher on capability and nasty SLT, both of which show the head in a poor light. The appearance of this poem is to show what a horrid head teacher heaps on their staff. An NQT isn't negative and shouldn't be included.
I haven't put you down and have no idea whether you are supportive or not. I have simply disagreed with something you've written.
What this thread shows is that you can be incredibly rude people who dare to challenge something you've written and to extrapolate this to falsely imply it is the general state of things.

Why do so many posts on TES end up as a playground spat? I despair.
I'm 50+ teacher-I haven't taken any offence. The TAs in my school are very chatty! Why take offence at something that was obviously posted as a lighthearted Christmas post.

On the thirteenth day of this festival, My Lord and Protector Satan of the Darkest Realm of Hell, sent me a TES forum that wasn't a spawning ground for bun fighting...

Sarcasm there. But this thread is makibg me ponder - not the content, more the attitude.

It appears to me when you post something, expect a reaction. This applies both to those who start threads and those who respond. What this boils down to is the desire for interaction - which clearly all parties have, otherwise this thread wouldn't be growing in the first place. Regrettably, it's interaction that seems to be motivated by the need to rip holes. Nice.

You don't like what someone posts? Ignore it.

You don't like the responses you get?
    Ignore them.

Isn't that the prissy, purse lipped advice delivered by every psuedo-internet expert on those INSET days about cyber safety? Usually with a crappy ppt and droning voice?

Sometimes, frankly, just keep it closed. Your laptop lid. No one has to comment or respond to everything. And I include myself, so thank you for reading, (or not, as you wish) enjoy whatever you have planned over the next two weeks.

    Adios...
