    I went to see a couple at Buxton Opera House. They have a season, you know. I found them tedious, HMS Pinafore was one of them, can't remember the other. I liked Mama Mia so it isn't the format.

    No, young people can enjoy G&S. Always such fun...a real tonic imo. I was fifteen when I sang in the school production of The Pirates of Penzance. Loved it...

    The only reason I would ever go to Buxton would be for the Cat & Fiddle. Hated Mama Mia. I like the political satire in G&S and still feel it has a relevance today. I expect the coalition may feature on the "little list" tomorrow. Horses for courses of course.
