In view of the incessant bombardment of climate doom and gloom:

I wish all of you a peaceful and joyous Christmas with a little touch of climate optimism just for a change.

    Thank you!
    Yay!
    Optimism!
Thanks to your post, am really feeling next year might finally be the one science gets banned!

Would that be pseudo-science IE., AGW?

    A little silly really.

What you mean to say is that next year might finally be the one where the 'science' is challenged.

If only it was as easy as putting words in inverted commas.

The science has been challenged by all comers and has won hands down.

It has been extremely accurate too.

    Why write "science"?

I've been meaning to thank you for a while now for the course recommendation which you posted back in Summer. Thank you!

I have completed a number of modules now (the SDGAcademy course). So far over 10,000 people have done the same. I would never have done it if you had not posted the link.
Did you get to it too?
    So interesting.
    Strip back the rubbish.
    Strip back the politics.
    Care about what matters.
And be able to say why.

That's not how it works. There are no 'winners'. Science is continually open to challenge.
    Have a think.

yes, I have had a look through elements of it, particularly on modelling.

Good to hear you're enjoying it

Science is always open to challenge

Especially if you think the Earth is flat

Extinction rebellion seem to have their Knickers in a twist over an increase of 1 part per 10000 in atmospheric CO2 yet 540 million years ago (Cambrian era) CO2 reach a peak of 7000 ppm IE., more than 15 times greater than at present and that peak coincided with the largest explosion of life the Earth has ever seen.
AGW is scientifically misguided and probably a deliberate distraction from the real pollution issues that face our world.
