Will accepting a PGCE offer affect offers from GTP providers?

Discussion in 'Trainee and student teachers' started by changingman, Jan 25, 2012.

  1. I have recently been offerered a place on a PGCE course, however I was holding out for a place on the GTP. I have an interview with a GTP provider and I am waiting to hear back from a couple more.
If I accept the offer for the PGCE, does anybody know whether I will be able to withdraw and, if successful, accept one with a GTP training provider?

    Many thanks

  2. Hey, no you can go for both, they are completely separate courses so they don't affect one another, my friend got onto a PGCE then got onto a GTP and she went for the GTP and just declined the PGCE..
Good luck on your GTP interview.
  3. Out of interest, why would you prefer the GTP?
