Whole school National Curriculum needed!

Discussion in 'Trainee and student teachers' started by laurajane24, Jul 4, 2012.

1. Hi,
I am about to start a PGCE in September with the University of Sussex and they have advised me to get a copy of the most recent (even if, slightly out of date) whole school National Curriculum. However, all the web links I have been given from the uni are dead links. I have tried going of the DfE website but I can't seem to find it anywhere.
If anybody has a copy of this saved on their computer, and wouldn't mind sharing, I would be VERY grateful! Or, if anybody knows of any websites which still have this information published, a link would also be great!
Thanks so much to anyone who can help!

4. Thanks for this info.
However, I have been asked by Sussex to download the whole school curriculum for Ks3- Ks4, as it is supposedly available as an entire document- and this is what I am trying to find. Sussex have told me that you can purchase it for £13 but I am yet to find out where I can purchase it from!

5. Totally agree with Paul. The uni won't actually use it directly when training you, I think they just want you to be doing something before you start. Don't waste your money. Especially as the NC is changing soon anyway. Good luck in Sept-Sussex is a great uni!

6. Thanks guys! I really appreciate your advice. I have the curriculum for Ks3 and Ks4 English which I thought was adequate as my specialism is English.... next time I will trust my instincts! I think I will just look up the general 'aims and values' and be done with it!
Thanks again.
