Who is the advocate for teachers?

    I am looking for views on advocates for teachers. I have been asked to consider this in the context of teachers and students. Are teachers the advocates for children and the Heads or line managers are the advocates for teachers? An explanation of why principals are advocates for teachers would be appreciated. Thanks
