Whether to bother applying

    Really bad luck - and probably painful too. Poor you!
    This is an interesting question . . . I'd be tempted to give it a try and see what they say when, after being invited for interview, you say that you cannot teach. Perhaps you could at least do a short activity with a small group of pupils? Or at least prepare the lesson plan and discuss it with them?
    Hope the whole situation becomes much better for you soon.
