I have taken a new post and I am new to teaching wjec english and the last teacher went over night! I can not make head nor tail of what the kids have done. The more i look at the wjec specification the more confused I am. They have looked at Of mice and men, Romeo and Juliet has been looked at. However they havent done any controlled assessments! do they have to look at poetry? and do a controlled assessment writing the first and third person?
Any help greatly recieved. The pupils come and go so that is a added strain!
    Any ideas where to start????
