Where to buy lingerie?

Discussion in 'Personal' started by Fiona L, Apr 19, 2011.

  1. ....and not marks and spencer or la senza!
I'm used to getting bras from Bravissimo but have recently lost weight and I'm on the verge of not being able to fit their bras anymore (as I potentially dip blow a D cup!). Gutted as I love their stuff. Does anyone know of anywhere that does nice underwear below a D cup? I like marks and spencer for knickers but I don't really get on with their bras and am not a fan of la senza. [IMG]

Or, take the brand name of the bra you like and google it - Bravissimo don't make their own bras, they just stock other people's, which may well be made in smaller sizes and sold elsewhere.

  3. Figleaves.
I stock up on nice lingerie in Debenhams when home in the UK. They have some lovely stuff for all sizes!

  4. Thanks for that. Yes, I did get a couple of good ones a while back from Debenhams and there is a big one near me. I'll check out figleaves too!
True about Bravissimo. Most of the styles though such as Freya and Fantasie are mainly D or DD cup upwards.
    Thanks for the info!

  5. Btw - some of the D sizes at Bravissimo are ok for a slightly smaller boob, depending on the style. I am not a D and I have bought some there!

    Paris!
The French know how to make the most glorious lingerie! [IMG]

  7. Actually, the nicest, sexiest lingerie I have bought anywhere was in Poland! And so inexpensive. A friend of mine has a friend who lives there (has a German boyfriend and comes here once a month, strange set up but anyway, by the by) and she brings us the most gorgeous quirky stuff over.
I recently bought 20 pairs of the most whacky hold up stockings for € 1 a pair.

I like the Janet Reger silk lingerie sold in Debenhams. Very comfy and pretty and not hugely expensive. Good for smaller boobs - not sure about bigger ones.

  10. I like these: http://www.freyalingerie.com/ but I buy them from a local independent lingerie shop. I think that's a good way to get a good fit, and to build up a relationship with the seller so that she knows what you like. Mine keeps a record so if someone wants to buy me something she knows which ranges/shapes I like.

It depends on how much you want to pay ;)
Figleaves have a massive range and go from basic to expensive.
La Perla is heavenly, Agent Provocateur is naughtier, have a look round and try some on then decide what you want?

  14. I buy most of mine from Oxfam.

    cyolba, pure class :)

I went to Gdansk (beautiful place with fascinating history) with some friends and we must have nearly emptied one shop specialising in tights. Every colour you can imagine , good quality and quite cheap. the shop owner must have thought we can't get tights in England.
