Where do we put LOTE resources that fall outside the standard TES language categories?

Tes Resources has 30 foreign languages categories which is great, but not all inclusive.

Why is there not a miscellaneous or other category in the languages section?

For example, where do you put something like Ukrainian or Amharic which doesn't have their own separate category?

I've seen people classify non-TES languages as cross curriculum resources but this is misleading. There should be an "everything else" category for LOTE that doesn't match what TES resources already has.

Hi @languagesforfuture thanks for your query

Ukrainian or Amharic do have their own categories as they're main subject categories on the UK site and World Language topics for US taxonomy (if uploading in US site experience or from US)

As such, you should be able to tag your resources as Ukranian/Amharic by selecting these subjects in the dropdown menu - Resource Editor Ukranian.png
Do please let us know if you can't find this in your resource upload experience and we'll look into this for you.

    Thanks
