I'm about to start on one of my first school based placements, and I just feel so underprepared... It seems like the class teacher has tons of resources, and I don't know where to begin to start getting my own resources together...

Where do you guys get your resources from? Going into a mixed Year 1/2 class next week.

A good start would be to ask the class teacher where she gets her resources from. The school might have a subscription to an online resource site, which you should be able to access on your placement. Perhaps your class teacher can share the resources she has already and you can tweak them to suit your own lessons?

TES resources can be good, and many are free to download. There are a number of other online resource sites too, but to get hold of really decent resources you would generally have to pay a yearly subscription.

Why not ask your fellow students and your uni. tutors, as they might be able to guide you?

Also, Facebook groups can be a good way to share ideas.

    Good luck with your placement!
