Where are the Aztecs in primary curriculum?

I've been told that in September we are studying the Aztecs but I cannot find it in the curriculum. Can anyone help me? I know at least 3 school studying it at the moment but I can't find it to reference in my medium term plans. Am I going mad?

    Thank you

The Maya are suggested, but not Aztecs.

The Aztecs are no longer on the National Curriculum. Have a look at the current NC document and it suggests alternatives including the Maya as EcoLady mentions and Baghdad. Things changed quite a bit for History so you should probably take a peek sooner rather than later.
