  1. can anyone advise me when is the right time to apply to TP to retire 31 august 2012 ? Is now or january too early? thanks

    No answer to your question - I'd ring them or speak to your HR people, but enough of that - congratulations! Hope you can enjoy your last months in school and look forward to a new you in the autumn.

    The usual advice is to make a claim for a pension about 4 months before retirement.
  4. A couple of months is sufficient. However, after an initial flurry of activity be prepared for nothing much to happen until about a week before you are due your pension. The TPS helpfully provide a graphic to monitor the progress of your application. It leaps to 60% completion and stays there for weeks. The last 40% takes about 10 minutes.
