What's wrong with conservatives?!

The line that stood out to me was:
Much of the anger in the Conservative parliamentary party is focusing on the prime minister's talks with Labour, aimed at reaching a cross-party compromise to get her deal through the Commons.

What the actual $%&£? The tories would prefer that the government doesn't talk to the opposition to try to resolve the ongoing crisis?
I bow to no man in my loathing for the tories, but are displaying stupid tribalism at its most destructive. Yes they are political opponents. Yes labour haven't supported them in their holy mission to kill poor people and steal everything to give to the plutocracy. Yes Corbyn has an allotment and sometimes doesn't wear a tie. However, this brexit thing might actually prove to be a problem that might be worth looking into finding a workable fix for. Annoyingly, that's going to involve persuading non tories to vote for a bill. It's upsetting that despite being the natural party of power they have to talk to scruffy marxists as if they were almost equals, but there it is.

Even worse, it means we'll probably get Boris as PM next. Who behind the bumbling idiocy front, is a reactionary, racist, ignorant, hard right idiot with stupid hair.

What's wrong with ordinary folk who vote Conservative, is a far bigger mystery to me.

Gove actually may be quite affable. I'm sure he would be able to help me build an eco toilet and fresh water collection system.

Boris is the front runner, the front runner never becomes leader of the Tory party.

What's wrong with people who vote for Corbyn, a friend of Hezbollah, Hamas, the Muslim Brotherhood and the IRA, just because their parents, grandparents and great-grandparents voted for that party?

As a reluctant remainer, I was quite keen on TM taking us out with the least damage possible. Thought she was the Gal for the Job.
But the whole thing was doomed. We can only cope with polar divisions like councilhouses/private landlords, In or out, nationalisation/privatisation (thanks again Grayling).
Both parties have egregious supporters for both sides so party unity can ever happen. So all we're left with is an undignified scramble for the £££ jobs, depending on how hard you lick.

The problem with conservatives is that, as their mentor and heroine Ayn Rand points out, they think that altruism is a sin, and compassion a major character flaw in a capitalist world where we all should be dog-eat-dog, devil-take-the-hindmost entrepreneurial capitalists. The sick, the weak, the disabled, children and the elderly are burdens (unless there's some way of using them to make a fast buck). People are means to an end. The old fashioned One Nation conservatives who rather liked the state have been all-but exterminated by the new breed of hawks, who crawl over the Internet proclaiming their muscular creed.

Been reading the Daily Fail? This constant smearing of a decent socialist leader is not even subtle. Corbyn met with terrorists, because negotiation and diplomacy require talking to people we don't like. The hard right press has been pushing this line for so long it's become hackneyed. I am still amazed anyone is dumb enough to believe it, or anything the plutocrat owned media says. BTW, how many murderous dictators has the Queen met? Is she best friends with terrorists too?

If we have a new prime minister, will there be a general election as well? Surely no self respecting leader would want to lead without a democratic mandate?

Boris worries me - apart from a period where he seemed to be doing an OK job as London mayor he doesn't have much of a track record.

And he's painted himself into a corner with all his rhetoric about a hard BREXIT. So if he became PM (cue a mass of defections from the party) the BREXIT nutters would expect him to deliver a no deal.

He could do an awful lot of damage very quickly

No. The next election is scheduled for May 2022. There was no GE when May, Brown, Major, Callaghan, Home, Macmillan, Eden and Churchill took over.

Isn’t it obvious what’s wrong with the Tories?

Any teacher who votes Tory is an idiot
