Whats the price of a Pantologica 1813

A friend of mine has a complete copy of John Goods 1813 Pantologica - the covers are decaying and there is some damage, but otherwise, its the full set of an early Victorian encyclopedia with hand coloured plates. They have been asked how much they want for it.

    Any ideas?

    That's Pantologia (no c).

    Somewhat pre-Victorian.

Tell your friend to look on abebooks for pricing ideas. But bear in mind that the prices asked may never actually be realised. Some dealers just leave books on for years in the hope that someone will come along to pay the asking price.

If in poor condition, it would be of limited interest to collectors and it might be worth removing the plates and selling them separately. But a shame to damage a complete set.
