Glad you're back to 'normal food' egyptgirl! :)

Got a home-grown cauli tonight with potatoes and then some pieces of pork I've tosses in some breadcrumbs and herbs.

I had planned to do biz's chicken chorizo thing but feel rubbish (sore throat, achey, hot) so think I'll order something soothing that I don't need to do anything about. Wonton soup sounds good at the moment.

A “summery” chicken katsu tenders with coleslaw stuffed in brioche buns.

Fish and Chips slathered in vinegar and salt and eaten from the paper outside the chip shop. Back in UK for a couple of months and it’s hubs favorite UK dish...though Shepherds pie is a close second.
However I will have to limit it as he would eat them every day if he could.

Chicken soup and honey with lemon (drop of whisky if you drink alcohol) sounds about right for you tonight.

The rest of the katsu chicken with salad and hard boiled eggs.

    In the meantime...tennis.

Chicken Kiev, new potatoes and ratatouille. And! And! Lindt Sprüngli Luxemburgerli. Mr PC has brought them back from Zurich for us.

Chicken thigh fillets, cut into chunks, soaked in yoghurt, coated with cornmeal and spices and baked in the oven, served taco style, with salsa, avocados, red onion and grated cheese, in tortillas.

    Jesus wept, Nick!

Could you not just have egg, chips and buttered white sliced one night?!

Just back from 60th birthday dinner celebrations at Heckfield Park.
    Just one word........................stunning!
I had courgette flower stuffed with crab, fillet of beef with horseradish cream and broad beans, followed by almond and gooseberry tart.
I think I am in heaven!

Burgers with mozzarella and salad. No buns. So virtuous.

An afternoon of tennis before that.....

Egg and chips is actually my absolute favourite, desert island meal! True story!

Actually, not quite. Has to be double egg and chips.

Chips are far too much faff for a weeknight though - last night's tea took about ten minutes of hands on effort!

Massaman lamb from the freezer and steamed rice tonight. Not sure if that's more fancy or less fancy than chicken tacos...;)

Off to Henley Festival tonight for first of 4 nights.
Will eat in The Spice Kitchen......a fab pop up Indian which serves lush food.
Boy George is headlining the main stage.
    Much champagne to be drunk!

Thank you! Still full of cold.

I found some fishcakes in the freezer that I'd made out of leftover fish pie, so we'll have those tonight with salad.

    Hope you’re feeling better @primarycat
I think my children have been possessed by evil spirits.
We had Cajun vegetable and bean soup for dinner - I expected them to have 3 mouthfuls and refuse to eat any more because they’re all going through different fussy phases. They wolfed it down, asked for seconds, wolfed that down and then asked for thirds. My huge vat of soup which was going to be partially frozen for lunches is gone in one meal.
