What would happen...

    I am not a teacher, but joined to ask what would happen to a teacher in the UK if they did what this 'teacher' in Thailand did?


    Particularly useful would be authoritative opinions on specific charges and sentences and if there have been similar cases in the UK, just to compare the response in UK to that of the wholly worthless Thai authorities.

    Thanks for the reply and case Cissy3. It's worth remembering that teachers can be under enormous professional and personal pressure and be pushed too far by pupils.
    While Thai children are by no means the disciplined, obedient paragons that the military government would have the world believe, there are still too many cases of physical abuse here. Another this week had a school director beating a child about the head inflicting serious hearing and visual loss.
