They are predicting it will be 33 degrees at Heathrow. It might be too hot for planes to take off. Thankfully they say it will only be 28 degrees here on the south coast. How will you be faring?

31 here in Yorkshire (Tuesday). Much too hot for me so will find somewhere cool with fan going and cold drinks/ice lollies and stick it out for a bit. 21 is my ideal temperature.

Flights take off and land all the time in hot countries.

Yuk for me. Hate the heat. Fed up with it already. It was wonderfull having a bit if rain on Thursday. My garden is desperately dry.

Extreme heat reduces air density and the amount of lift a plane can get to take-off. I wasn't being particularly serious, it's just that when I checked what the temperature in London was going to be, the option for Heathrow came up.
Yes, but there's a maximum temperature limit that planes are able to fly in.

It will be 40+ in Europe - I bet their planes fly.

I'm actually pleased we didn't go to the USA this Summer - temperatures over there are staggeringly high at the moment

30 here. the gym will be airconditioned and I don't have much else planned so that's fine. I've booked a seat on the patio under the umbrella.

A new neighbour has chopped down all the tall trees that were giving us some shade.
I've ordered one of those sail things, that we'll rig up over the decking. That should give us some respite.
The conservatory will be like an oven.

Max for take off and landing i's around 48 degrees C for airports like Heathrow that are at, or close to, sea level (slightly hotter for the largest aircraft). So 33 degrees C should not be a problem (even if the prediction is not exaggerated, as it often seems to be these days).
