What to cook for Christmas Eve?

    There's a lovely recipe for a hot lemon sponge that bakes to form a lemon sauce at the bottom. Shall I try and find it?

    I think I have that same recipe, Lapin - it is lovely!
    We're having a salmon en croute on Christmas Eve when Mr EGs parents arrive. Not sure what to do to go with it, though.

    Perhaps watercress and red grapefruit salad and good bread? Maybe also petits pois sauteed with shallots to keep Mr EG happy?

    The fish stew was spectular and a huge hit! Didn't get round to pudding because of the amount of good bread that mopped up the juices.
    Will certainly do this again but will also try the salmon coulibac.
