What should teenagers consider important other than passing exams

Many teenagers worry about passing examinations (and yes, they are important) - but I think that when I was a teenager we didn't have the pressure put on us at school that they have today and neither did teachers. All through my life I've studied and enjoyed new things, written 1,350 new poems for children and learnt 2 languages well since I've been retired, done lots of work in my community and made friends - but I didn't have to do all of this when I was a teenager. Is there too much pressure being put on our young people? Opinions please.
