The hard drive can be put in a £5m disc enclosure and used as extra or portable storage. If the charger and/or the battery work you might get a few quid for them on ebay. The rest is junk.

Typo £5m is a bit expensive.

The hard drive is already in an enclosure and has reluctantly agreed to let me access my files. The battery and charger are unreliable at best...

So I take it to the tip?

I'm beginning to think that the middle of the living room floor is not the best location, you see.

  8. Our tip has a section for electricals. I assume they recycle what's worth it.

Put it there instead of going to the smelly old tip, buy a shiny new one and think of the joy of finding ye olde folding computer machine under the settee in 50 years time.

    Well... a netbook.
