I am a 3rd year Primary Education student, specialising in ICT and Computing. I am interested to find out what role the the IWB has to play in a primary classroom in 2019 as part of my final year project.

The purpose of this study is to understand the current role and usage that the IWB has in primary classrooms.

I know you're all super busy, but please could anyone willing, complete the short survey (< 5 minutes).

    It would be greatly appreciated.

Basically, no-one uses them as anything other than just a screen because they never work.

We'd all rather have proper whiteboards at the front of our rooms that we can actually write on.

And when the bulb goes and the school can't afford the very expensive replacements, they can't even be used as a Screen.
I agree a 'traditional whiteboard', which could still be used as a screen with a projector if needed was more useful.

I'd have thought upgrading to touchscreen tvs would be cheaper these days.

And one option which has been taken up by schools who probably decided it was just as easy to do that than repair / upgrade their old set ups.

I think interactivity is more likely to be used these days, as it's more prevalent in day to day life.
