What level when?!

Discussion in 'Assessment' started by efwright, Feb 28, 2012.

  1. Hi all,

Can anyone help me as to where I can find what level my primary Y3/4 children should be at, at each stage of the year?

I need to level them and say if they are behind or ahead and I have no comparison.

If anyone could either tell me how to work it out or where I could find it, I would be grateful.

    Thanks all! :)

  2. Children should make 2 levels progress from Year 2 SATs to Year 6 SATs. So, in theory, by the end of Year 4, they will have made 1 level progress
    eg KS1 SAT Level 2b, Year 4 Level 3b, KS2 SAT level 4b.
Therefore by end of Year 3 they should be 2a/3c if they are on track to convert KS1 levels at Y6. At this stage n Y3, I would expect my children to have made at least 1 sub level -
Of course as we all know those darned children refuse to follow lines on graphs thus causing spikes in their progress. [IMG]
