What lessons can I put together for this Learning Objective...

Discussion in 'Primary' started by kevinjames12, Mar 10, 2012.

  1. Hi all,

As a year 2 teacher I am struggling to think of good lessons I can create for the following learning objective and your help would be much appreciated:

Solve problems involving counting, adding, doubling and halving in the context of numbers measures or money e.g. to pay and give change.

    Advice please,

Easiest way is with measures and recipes, per person How much for 2 people 4 people? etc.
Ditto with money, pencil costs xxxp what will 2 cost 4 etc. If I pay with 50 p how much change? Suppose I only have a pound coin?
    Hope that helps.
