What kind of researches that Hepatoma Cells can be applied for? From the site content, it can be known that some hepatoma cells are from humans, but I was wondering what kind of scientific researches they can be applied in.

We used to use them as an alternative to non-human cell lines e.g. mouse or hamster, if we wanted to making sure what we were looking at was relevant to humans. Also used for looking at how proteins from hepatitis virus would behave, as a model of hepatitis infection of the liver. There seem to be a lot more available now compared to when we were using them.
