    Hi all,

I am a primary teacher and would really appreciate some help with subject knowledge. I've tried Google and am more confused than ever!

Please could someone explain to me what exactly a land use map is. Is it as simple as a map which shows land use? In which case could all maps be considered land use maps?

I will be teaching this to y5 (9-10yrs), who then have to design their own land use map.

    Thank you.

A land use map will normally show the uses of the buildings. eg Blue will be convenience shops, red= houses, etc etc. Hope this helps
