What does medium term planning involve at your school?

I'm ploughing my way through planning 6 week's worth of foundation subject lessons, in the knowledge that it is unlikely that I will teach all of them because something always 'comes up' that means a change of plan.
How much detail do you have to put in your medium term plans?

We put a fair bit of detail in, but do very little as short term planning.

I have details of 'Expected Outcomes', Assessment opportunities, details of 'Must haves' for all / HA & LA which determine the direction of my teaching. How long I take to get there and how will depend on what happens in my classroom so I then have a very rough outline of Lesson objectives / foci for what I expect to cover each week -usually one week short (to allow for any cancelled lessons or interruptions).
A section for resources, previous knowledge and where this unit fits in the grand scheme i e long term plans for the year.

Yours sounds much worse - I feel better now, thank you!
