What do you think are the most important skills in Science?

Discussion in 'Science' started by mangohead, Feb 21, 2012.

  1. I'm writing lessons to support the KS3 science course and would appreciate any advice on what others think I should include. For example, drawing graphs, planning an experiment, forming balanced arguments, research skills etc.

    Thanks in advance!

measuring accuratly and knowledge of the metric system!
  4. Speaking as a former chemist/scientist - scientists use observation, inference, questioning and reporting clearly and concisely everyday. Focus on those skills for the children to attain mastery because those skills are transferrable to the workplace (whatever career they may choose however many years down the road it is).
