What day of the week do you plan for next week?

    I'm not in reception now but we planned on a Friday for Moday and Tuesday and then on Tuesday for the rest of the week.

    Except for phonics, I don't plan for days, I plan for a few activities to cover objectives that tend to come from the children's interests. Sometimes these activities are completed in a day other times (such as art or d & t work) they can be continual throughout the week. We discuss ideas with the children at the end of every day. Some things have to be planned a week in advance to access the resources etc and children need to know that if they want to do x then sometimes it needs time to sort out. Other ideas are spontaneous and can be done on the spot or the day after. It's a bit mad but works really well for us.
